Thinking about CAM, LOM and enhancing the reusing of learning contents

What is the main problem for reusing learning content?

Usually the main problem is getting the best content for being reused. You don't want to reuse content if the search take you more time that if you have to build it all new.

The problem, then, is finding the learning content.

For this main reason, there are a lot of groups focused on improving the algorithms or finding other ways for improving the procedure, like recommendation or visualiziting search results.

The aim of this small proposal is representing the learning resources through a geographic representation locating the learning resources in google maps using the VCARD included in LOM. Using this way, we can organize the learning resources by author.

Using this way, we would include on the map all the people who have developed learning resources related to the search.

CAM would have a important role for filtering the number of the results, giving more priority for the relevant resources.

What is the aim?

It is based on the web 2.0 and social networks. Nowadays, we have social connections which provide us a lot of information about other people like either they are trust worthy people, important if we want to reuse the content.

Other issue would be that we provide impact to the author in the learning community. It is important, because through it, we can increase his contribution to the community. Usually, the people need some acknowledgement to their work.

If we extend it to a social network (learning, social or professional network) we are providing a way for creating more connections.

It is more or less my general overview. Of course, I have to think more about it.
